Zuflucht Overview

Zuflucht is a picturesque ski resort that boasts an idyllic location in the heart of the Black Forest. The resort offers an array of activities for visitors to enjoy all year round. During the winter months, the resort provides a great ski and snowboarding slope that is ideal for beginners, returning skiers, and those who prefer a less challenging slope. The slope is beautifully situated with a medium gradient, incorporating steeper and flatter areas at the top, and is easily accessible from the nearby Hotel Refuge.

The resort also offers a small beginner's slope with a quick tow lift, ensuring minimal waiting times, making it especially popular with families. In addition to the skiing facilities, there are fantastic snowshoe hiking routes for visitors to explore. The ski lift, largely located in the Oppenau district, is also conveniently situated near the gates of the Black Forest National Park.

During the summer months, Zuflucht transforms into a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Hikers, mountain bikers, and cross-country skiers are welcome to use the various routes available. Cyclists, in particular, regard Zuflucht as a place of pilgrimage, offering challenging slopes in a magnificent setting. The resort also caters to paragliders, with suitable launch areas available.

Regardless of the season, visitors to Zuflucht are treated to breathtaking views of the Black Forest and, on clear days, all the way to France. The resort also offers a beautiful vantage point that is accessible via various narrow hiking trails, providing a fantastic spot for a break and to soak in the stunning scenery.

The resort's on-site restaurant offers top service and delicious food, although it's worth noting the opening times to avoid disappointment. Visitors have also found the local people to be super friendly, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere of the resort. Whether you're seeking a winter sports getaway or a summer adventure, Zuflucht Ski Resort offers a remarkable experience in the heart of nature.
