Telegraf – Kielce Overview

Telegraf-Kielce is a prominent ski resort located in the city of Kielce, nestled on the peak of the highest mountain in the region (408 m above sea level). This peak is a part of the esteemed Crown of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. The journey to the summit can be embarked upon via the blue trail, starting at the foot of the mountain. The walk from the parking lot at the bus terminus in Bukówka to the peak takes approximately 30 minutes at a leisurely pace. However, it is advisable to assist younger children as the trail is fairly steep and can be slippery in parts.

Along this trail, visitors will encounter the historically significant Cemetery of Soviet POWs. Once at the top, a breathtaking panorama of the city awaits, complemented by the towering presence of a 60m high radio mast. The adventurous may continue along the blue trail to Góra Hałasa, a forested peak that houses a unique fire observatory. Despite some issues with littering and trail marking, the view of the Kielce skyline from this spot is truly remarkable.

During winter, the mountain transforms into a popular ski destination, featuring a 500-meter-long ski slope with a level difference of 100 meters. The slope is lit, artificially snowed, and prepared with a snowcat. However, due to its steep and narrow nature, it is considered challenging and potentially hazardous. In contrast, the mountain also offers gentler trails suitable for less extreme activities such as hiking or cycling.

In summer, the mountain is a peaceful spot offering beautiful distant views and well-marked paths. Regardless of the season, the mountain's highest peak offers a stunning viewpoint over Kielce, and the peak's location in the city center gives it an enchanting atmosphere. The Telegraf-Kielce resort, with its diverse range of trails and activities, remains a must-visit destination for both adventure seekers and nature lovers.
